Who Publiks Are

   Publiks Inc was established in August 2017 to foster and improve public awareness, public knowledge, the public interest and local and global interrelationships concerning societies in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australasia and Europe.

At Publiks we think deeply and creatively about ways to shape and enhance the public interest — in the present as well as in the emerging and reasonably distant future. We often choose to do so through the meeting of culture, education, media and technology, because at our current moment, they produce some of the more remarkable conduits for views and voices, as they course through local and global publics across the world.

   Our goal is to capture and foster such flows, in their innate expressiveness, disruptive questioning, and ultimately human effort to improve self and society. Our range and concerns are resolutely global and intimately local. And they have to be, as we do our best to benefit a divergent though essentially common peoples, each living in an unprecedentedly international age.

Generally, at Publiks

In a natural development that will increase the already established synergies between two companies, Publiks Inc has entered into a managerial agreement with The Alvan Ikoku Group LLC (“The Ikoku Group”).

The arrangement has both entities wholly owned and managed by their President, CEO and Chair, Alvan Azinna Ikoku, with Publiks Inc remaining a corporation, whose administration, development and management are now housed within The Publiks Group, a division of The Ikoku Group.

We have every intention to have our work together continue, grow and become more impactful with this formal joining of forces. And so say to all involved, “Nnoh,” (“Welcome,” in Igbo).

At Publiks Regions

One of the more dynamic developments at the Publiks Sites is the gradual addition and integration of subcontinental sections dedicated to nations, cities, towns and diasporically-linked communities.

The goal, in these sections — as in the originating continental sections — is to carry out and provide aspects of our mission, purposes, products and services as they pertain to the varied people, communities and societies formed and informed by such geopolitical delimitations, and to thus have you and your fellow users engage, educate, learn, participate and mutually understand.

Developing these sections inevitably takes time — as well as innovation at the level of design and content — so you will over the coming two-three years notice their introduction. Often by the appearance of new links in the top menus of Publiks Regions pages. But also via announcements at Publiks.Group, Publiks.Info and here at Publiks.Center.

In the meantime, we encourage you to partake of the regional offerings already in evidence — and we look forward to better serving the regionally defined engagement, needs and preferences of yourself and your fellow users.

At Publiks Africa

The first regionally defined Publiks Site — whose continental field and scope, cultures, politics, states, even shape have served as early and primary catalysts for Publiks, and our mission and purposes — Publiks Africa is at work incorporating a number of the developments we describe above under Publiks Regions.

You can glimpse, already, at the top menu for Publiks Africa, links to Publiks Algeria, Publiks Angola, Publiks Mozambique, Publiks Rwanda, Publiks South Africa and Publiks Zim — as well as Publiks Abuja, Publiks Dakar, Publiks Nairobi and Publiks Tunis.

And as promised during our Introduction to the Publik.Org, scrolling down through the segments of PubliksAfrica’s main page reveals a cross-sectioning of the regional emphasis on Africa with differently defined foci — such as that offered by PubliksNews, PubliksEvents, Republiks, Audience, PubliksBooks, PublikSpaces and The Exhibit, as well as more delimited regions such as Central, East, North, West and Southern Africa.

At Publiks Americas

Featuring content, issues, views and voices that emanate from, inform and touch the variegated peoples, cultures and societies of two continents, Publiks Americas, has been among the most active in offering sections we describe above in Publiks Regions.

The ongoing additions can be seen on the top of the Publiks Americas page in links to Publiks Brazil, Publiks Canada, Publiks Haiti, Publiks Mexico, Publiks Peru and, of course, Publiks USA as well as Publiks Buenos Aires, Publiks Los Angeles, Publiks Montreal, Publiks New Orleans and Publiks NYC. More shall, systematically, appear.

At Publiks Asia

With a focus on the largest and most dynamic continent of digital users in the world, Publiks Asia is designed and being developed to bring to the platform views and voices from its range of geographic and metropolitan areas, communities, societies and attendant sections, as we have planned for above in Publiks Regions.

A visit to the main page for Publiks Asia will lead you to top menu links to Publiks China, Publiks India, Publiks Malaysia, Publiks Russia, Publiks Singapore, Publiks Thailand and Publiks Tokyo as well as — in the near future — the debut of diaspora communities sections such as Publiks Chinatown, Japantown, Koreatown and so forth.

At Publiks Australasia

Designed to bring to the platform news, media and engagement from a prominent region that often proudly calls itself “down under,” Publiks Australiasia is tasked with attending to views and voices from a culturally, physically and politically active continent of islands.

You may already see on its main page links to Publiks Australia as well as Publiks Melbourne, Publiks New Zealand as well as Publiks Aukland — then in the near future — Publiks Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti and so forth. Be on the lookout for more.

At Publiks Europe

Focusing on one of the most culturally, geopolitically and historically prominent of world regions, Publiks Europe brings to the platform a commensurately diverse range of news, media and engagement.

At Publiks World

Also known as “Global Communities,” this section of our platform is focused on bringing to your attention news, media and engagement from communities, regions and spaces that naturally transcend geopolitical borders and arrangements.

Enjoying prominence here will soon be feeds emanating from diaspora sections such as Publiks Africana, Publiks Chinatown, Publiks Japantown, Publiks Koreatown, Publiks Little Italy and so forth. And they will hopefully reside next to feeds arising from activity associated with global and transnational events, institutions, meetings and occurrences, for instance, from the Olympics, World Cup and similar meets; the United Nations, Medécins Sans Frontiers and similar organizations; earthquakes, solstices and equivalent natural phenomena.

Committed to generating and bringing to your attention an array of discussions emanating from content, engagement issues and users on our sites and beyond, The Publiks Forums constitute another major artery for our platform’s system of feeds.

At Publiks Exchange

At the heart of our information services is Publiks Exchange — a networked node within our platform for users to provide each other and visitors with information regarding a wide array of goods and services they have on offer.

We have provided — and are further developing — tools to enhance modes of communication, connection, display, information, transaction and transfer of particular usefulness for our users and visitors engaging at Publiks Exchange.   We have designed Publiks Pages to provide you and fellow users with opportunities for communication, information and engagement between communities and directories of personal, group, and institutional profiles.

At Publiks Streams

Publiks Streams is designed — and is being further developed — to offer you and fellow visitors and users a focused overview of and access to activity and content published on Publiks in non-prose and -image media.

Your visit to its main page will give you a sense of the forms of PublikStreams being planned, such as Eventstreams, Newstreams, Radiostreams and Videostreams.

Publiks App is currently being designed and further developed to offer downloadable applications crafted, developed, tested and rolled out at, by or via our Publiks platforms and sites.

We purchased the Publiks.App domain for this section of the platform and shall let you and fellow users know as soon as both become fully operational.

Publiks Catalog is being designed and further developed to provide a detailed archive and catalog of past and present Publiks contributions, entries and media published on Publiks.Org.

Publiks MSG is being designed and further developed to provide users with personalizable modes of communication.
